Four County to offer Clincial Student Pathway Program
FOUR COUNTY OFFERS MASTERS, BACHELORS , AND ASSOCIATE LEVEL CLINICAL STUDENT PATHWAY PROGRAM
"Community Mental Health Centers have a long tradition of being a training ground for the mental health workforce" states Carrie Cadwell, CEO of Four County. "Taking the step to develop student training pathways and connecting the dots to workforce development is an investment in our rural communities. We want to provide high value training experiences and hope that students stay on with Four County for employment. Whether a student stays with us or takes another position, ultimately, we want them to stay in our rural communities and collaborate on emotional well-being and recovery locally. This approach is very consistent with our daily guiding principles of Better Care and Better Together".
Four County offers a range of student training experiences from bachelor level shadowing experiences to pre-doctoral internships. For the 2018-2019 academic year, Four County supported over 30 students pursuing varying levels of professional development. We offer supervised experiences for the following professionals and students: APRN psychiatric re-specialization, Nurse Practitioner student clinicals, Doctoral level practicums and internships, Master level practicums and internships, and Associate & Bachelor level practicums/shadowing. An additional, unique aspect to student training is Four County's ability to offer internships within our support departments.
