DWD Workforce Ready Grant
Four County has been awarded a $50,000 employer training grant from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Created under the Next Level Jobs initiative, the training grant allows employers to engage their new and current employees with increased occupational skills training. In partnership with Ivy Tech Kokomo, Four County developed a blended skills training that intentionally addresses gaps in traditional training models. Four County will provide Community Health Worker training and Ivy Tech will be providing additional training and support in the Human Services realm in effort to provide new hires with skills and education. This is aimed at increasing Skills Trainer new hire training, as well as retention for the agency and Four County workforce. This training will begin in March 2020.
